My dream is to be an Olympic Sprinter (100 meter),

right now im not too good just a 13 second 100 meter.. if i get a trainer now and train almost everyday in the week may i might have a shot to be in the Olympics?

the trainer i know of that im going to join trains you really hard, he even sets you on a diet and you cant eat chocolate and things like that, and his team competes in the Jr Olympics in Iowa every summer.

they practice 3 times a week and do a lot of workouts with weights, everyone on the team is a senior or older but a couple of people.
Im a freshman and my friend whos on the team is a freshman to and he ran a 12 second 100 meter when he joined in the summer and now he runs a 11 second, so if i join and stay on this track team all throughout highschool do you think i can have a chance to be in the olympics? O yeah the trainers team practices year around.

Have you watched the movie Chariots of Fire?Eric Liddell, a wonderfully moral young man, was an Olympic runner that was heavily favored to win the gold medal. He wasn't driven by fear or rigidity. He was driven by love."When I run," he famously said, "I feel God's pleasure."Of course you have a chance, Workouts, weights, proper diet, good coaching, good training are very important, but dedication and mental attitude sets one apart from being a good athlete to a great athlete.Good luck to you.

You have to have the genes to sprint fast, but without training you can not develop your ability.

There are thousands of young men trying to get one of three spots on the Olympic team, so it is not easy.

No one knows if you have the ability to become an elite sprinter, but if you don't try you won't know either.

Running 13 seconds does not sound like you have sprint speed, but there are other events that you might have a talent for so follow your dream.

If you are willing to spend time, money and effort into this, then you definitely have a shot. You need to be willing to train a lot more though and it isn't just the physical side, you also need to train your brain to be prepared for it.

I would recommend that you go for if you are certain that this is what you want. Otherwise I'd bounce it around for a while before you're certain.
