oh man if they had the summer Olympics every two years, that would be rough. of course it would be awesome to watch, but it would be SO hard on the athletes. They need those years to recover and prepare. That is when the magic takes place; when an athlete works hard to prepare themselves for the big event!

Well there is one.

The Winter Olympics = every 4 years.

The Summer Olympics = every 4 years.

So you do get one every 2 years..

For the Summer Olympics, I assume.

No. Honestly, the host countries need a lot of time to prepare and the athletes need time to prepare/condition. Four years is good enough.

i say no because of the financial strain. i heard that china spent nearly $1b to get things ready for the olympics. sure they get it back in tourism, but if a new city had to do that every 2 years it would be a lot of work for many people.

Actually, it is. Summer and winter games are every four years. Since the summer games are this year, in 2010 it will be the winter games, then 2012 will be summer..and so on and so forth.

THat's a tough one. I think it's more special if its at 4 as opposed to 2
