6.39 seconds - Maurice Greene (US). he twice set that record. Feb. 3, 1998 at Madrid, Spain then duplicated it three years later (March 3, 2001) at Atlanta, USA.

5.99 sec, by Obadele Thompson of Barbados (UTEP), at the Western Athletics Conference Indoor championships in 1997 or 1998 at Colorado Springs, Colorado (Airforce Academy), Lenard Myles Mills of (BYU) was second in 6.01sec, Percival Spencer of TCU was third in 6.12 Sec and Ronald Promesse of UTEP was fourth in 6.13 sec.

That's an amazing time. If you continue to train, you could someday be am elite runner. I don't have an answer but I just had to say that is amazing.
