She re-injured the groin practicing over there. It's not like she went over expecting to get hurt again. I think she'll be ready and she'll compete, but when she went over she was fully expecting to compete without any problem. Edit: I'm a little shocked that she withdrew this quickly, the injury must have been worse than first thought. The story broke on ESPN about the same time as it did on British Eurosport.

Curling, target shooting, archery, fencing, and table tennis are all older player sports. Alot of athletes in these sports are in their 50's so this would give you 35 years to train. With the exception of target shooting, you need the physical skills at an elite level for these sports:

Curling- Abdominals for sweeping.

Archery-Triceps for pulling back on the arrow.

Fencing- Shoulders, triceps, pectorals

Table Tennis- Shoulders and pectorals

Sailing-Hip Flexors

At that age you would probably need a natural flair. Some sports need years of practice thus being impossibe ( Football, Judo, Tennis etc)

Equestrian events have older (human) athletes, as does swimming in these Olympics. I thought I heard there was an older cyclist... Maybe try badminton?
