I'm asking because the Olympics are supposed to be about respecting your opponents...but in hockey, when you got to fight, you really got to fight. So I'm wondering...is fighting allowed in Olympic hockey?

Allowed yes but not expected. If a player fights they'll be tossed from the game not the tournament

No. And if an instance occurs where a fight does break out, then the involved players are suspended for the rest of the tournament/ olympic season, until next olympics. Same rules apply to world hockey.

for the reason it somewhat is a waste of time and that's pathetic. i'm somewhat particular that a very good kind of the combating that they permit to take place interior the NHL is for entertainment purposes in basic terms. not that the fights are not actual, yet they permit them to pass on for an prolonged time on purpose.
