No way. Firstly, the city looks crap; certainly not something I would find suitable for tourists. Secondly, Alabama is very conservative, like Georgia, but worse. I do not believe that people would feel comfortable there, everything is based on republican/conservative values, and because a lot of the European countries are not republican/conservative based, it just would not be a suitable, nor probably safe place for people from all over the world to gather for the Olympics.

Why does the IOC "ought to hold the Olympics back to the US sometime quickly"? there is not any such requirement the Olympics *ought to* be held interior the US (or the different usa) each and every so many times. i do no longer think of you comprehend the way the technique of web hosting an Olympics works. we don't physique of suggestions the IOC and tell them "that's the u . s . a .'s turn, and we pick this city." rather, the IOC ought to evaluate diverse proposals from world huge, and distinctive cities all like it very badly. they start the technique properly in strengthen (they're already booked by using 2020 for the summer season video games), and that all of them ought to demonstrate why they're the suited region in a form of techniques (protecting each and every thing from climate to public transportation to secure practices to sufficient hotel lodging). The IOC then makes their very own decision after analyzing all the information. that's like interviewing for an exceedingly needed activity with in elementary terms one putting out and applicants from world huge. At maximum suitable, the prospect of triumphing the bid is comparable to the probability you will win the lottery. Calling it a "long shot" is an underestimation. You did no longer provide any rationalization why Minneapolis may well be the suited determination, yet while it comes right down to it, that's no longer as much as you or me. The stressful fact is, there is a lot complexity in contact interior the call we at the instant can not choose which city may well be maximum suitable to host an Olympic video games.

There are three cities in the USA who want to bid for the 2020 Olympics, including Boston, who would seem to me as the most appropriate. And there are also a lot of European, Latin American, and even African cities who want to bid for those Olympics, so it will be very disputed.

But we can't discard any possibility.... Actually Birmingham, Alabama was host of several football (soccer) matches during the Atlanta 1996 Olympics.

Due to the fact that the US is in debt to the tune of $ 10 trillion, I doubt it, plus you will still be in a recession
